The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today welcomed in a meeting the new Special Representative of Norway for the Western Balkans, Eirik Nestås Mathisen. This was the first briefing meeting between Prime Minister Kurti and the Special Representative, Eirik Nestås Mathisen. Today’s meeting was also a farewell meeting with the current Special Representative of Norway, Haakon Blankenborg.
Expressing satisfaction for the meeting with both representatives, the Prime Minister appreciated the close relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Norway and expressed gratitude for Norway’s continuous support in the socio-economic development of Kosovo.
During the meeting, the strengthening of bilateral relations, regional issues and topics of common interest were discussed. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Trade Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the EFTA countries, which includes Norway, presents new opportunities for deepening trade relations and bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister offered close cooperation to the new emissary, Mathisen, and thanked emissary Blankenborg for his engagement and contribution so far, wishing him success in future engagements.
