The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, welcomed to the meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Ian Borg, who is visiting our country in the capacity of the chairman of the OSCE.
Welcoming him to Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his appreciation for the ongoing contribution of the OSCE in the promotion of democratic governance, while for his part, Minister Borg expressed his pleasure to visit our country, to learn more about the partnership that exists between OSCE and our government.
During the meeting, it was discussed about the successes and achievements of Kosovo in the last three years, where Prime Minister Kurti mentioned the international reports that prove the democratic advancement of our country, as well as singled out the economic progress, with a focus on sustainable growth, equal distribution to all citizens and the reduction of inequalities.
Among the topics addressed were the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organized crime, but also cooperation in the framework of other common challenges.
Regarding the bilateral relations between our countries, the close cooperation between us was reaffirmed, and Minister Borg emphasized that Malta remains a partner and friend of the Republic of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the minister for the fruitful conversation and shared views, underlining the importance of this visit to Kosovo, which contributes to the deepening of cooperation.
