Dublin, 1 March 2024
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today held a tête-à-tête meeting and then a working lunch with the Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar.
The central topics in this second bilateral meeting, after the one in Pristina, in January of this year, were bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of economy, trade and technology, and regional developments. Together they discussed the possibilities of their deepening in all areas of common interest.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality he received in Dublin and for Ireland’s vocal and continuous support to Kosovo, Prime Minister Kurti informed Irish Prime Minister Varadkar of the latest developments in the country, the progress made so far and the offer that Kosovo presents to investment by Irish companies, with an emphasis on the technology sector.
He thanked Prime Minister Varadkar for actively supporting Kosovo in the process of European integration and its membership in the Council of Europe.
The Republic of Kosovo and Ireland enjoy close partnership relations built on common values and orientations.
