In Sofia, Bulgaria, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was also welcomed by the President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, with whom he held a bilateral meeting after the one they had together in the capital of the Republic of Kosovo in December last year.
Prime Minister Kurti described the second meeting within four months as evidence of good relations, as he emphasized the importance of such frequent meetings for bilateral relations. He thanked Bulgaria for its support in crucial periods of the country and our people, for the continuous support of our state in its membership in international organizations, including the Council of Europe recently, for close regional cooperation and for its contribution to regional security as a member of NATO.
They talked about the economic relations between the two countries, the opportunities ahead of us for deepening and strengthening them, as well as for the security of the continent and the region in the face of the challenges of the time. We also talked about the field of defense where this year the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kosovo and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria are expected to sign a Cooperation Agreement.
Within the framework of the Kosovo-Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce, which was founded last year, this year it is planned to organize an economic forum for businesses with the aim of promoting foreign investments and trade exchanges.
