In addition to the meeting and working lunch with the President of Turkey, Erdogan, together with the Vice President of Turkey, Cevdet Yilmaz and the Minister of Defense, Yaşar Güler, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was also welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey , Hakan Fidan.
This was the first meeting between them since Mr. Fidan has assumed the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs. They discussed the strengthening of cooperation between our two countries, with a special focus on the implementation of joint projects in the field of economy, increasing commercial exchange, but also Turkey’s support in the field of security, defense and integration of Kosovo in international organizations.
The Prime Minister thanked Minister Fidan for his supportive position for Kosovo in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Expressing his gratitude for the bilateral relations and for the hospitality today, the prime minister underlined the important role and contribution of Turkey to the region as well as to peace and security in Kosovo through its contribution to the NATO mission, KFOR.
