Gjakova, February 14, 2025
Gjakova was the next municipality that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited today. There, he visited the Music Museum and the Tower of Sylejman Vokshi. Both of these objects are part of the projects of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, within the framework of the protection of cultural heritage assets.
The Music Museum monument suffered severe damage from a fire in 2023, so the government began work on the reconstruction of the object. The reconstruction works began last year through an investment in the amount of more than 380 thousand euros from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The reconstruction works are now in the final phase.
The Tower of Sylejman Vokshi, another protected cultural heritage asset, is also under restoration. The project is worth around 237 thousand euros and its implementation began last month. The renovation works are expected to be completed within a year. The restoration of this facility is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
