On the occasion of the Day of Turks in Kosovo, the Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, visited today the exhibition of the Women’s Association “Orkidea”, which was organized in the premises of the “Yunus Emre” Institute in Prizren.
During the visit, Prime Minister Kurti had the opportunity to see up close the artistic works of the women included in this exhibition and thanked the head of the association, Sevgi Kervan, for organizing this event that includes cultural values, creativity and a spirit of friendship.
“This event is being held on April 23, the National Day of the Turks of Kosovo, and it is not only a celebration, but also an activity, it is also creativity, where there is an element of kindness and friendship, but also that of aesthetics, that is, of beauty,” the Prime Minister said.
Stressing the importance of the close relations between Kosovo and Turkey, he said: “When we see the flags of our two states, the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Kosovo, side by side, of course it symbolizes the friendship, partnership and strong alliance that Pristina has with Ankara, Prizren with Istanbul and the Republic of Kosovo with the Republic of Turkey”.
He further added that this is how we preserve culture and make it artistic for us who are art lovers, but also for all citizens who have the pleasure of coming to visit.
The Prime Minister congratulated the organizers for this organization and thanked them for their hospitality.
