Prime Minister Kurti visited the company for the production of paper tubes “DG PACK”

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, today visited the company for the production of paper tubes “DG PACK SHPK”, owned by Doruntina Kuka-Gashi.

Appreciating the work done in this company, Prime Minister Kurti said that this is a successful company with about 20 employees, which is certified in terms of quality standards, but also the CE standard.

“Therefore, apart from penetrating into the internal market of Kosovo, it also manages to export to countries such as Albania and Germany,” said Prime Minister Kurti, adding that the raw material, namely paper and glue, is obtained from Italy, Greece and Turkey and also from the grants they have benefited from, they have modernized technology and increased production.

He congratulated Mrs. Doruntina also on March 8 – International Women’s Day, and for the great success of her company.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, after wishing March 8 to all the women of Kosovo, encouraged them to open businesses, because as she said, they will also have the support of the Government, through grants, certification, standardization, improving machinery as well as training, but also to offer as much space as possible to do business in the Republic of Kosovo.

Founded in 2018, this company specializes in the production of spiral-shaped cardboard tubes with a thickness ranging from 2mm to 16mm. These tubes are used in light and heavy industry for product packaging. In addition to pipes, the company is also involved in the production and prepackaging of aluminum sheets and transparent plastic sheets.

The company had started work with 2 employees, while after the increase in demand for products, the strong commitment to professional work, has enabled the company in question to increase productivity and the number of employees, where it currently counts 20 employees, a number that is growing even more during the summer season.

DG PACK LLC has managed to operate successfully in the local market and export their products to the international market as well.

The statement of Prime Minister Kurti after the visit:

Today, March 8, we visited a business here not far from the capital, in Lapnaselle, where the owner is a woman, Doruntina Kuka Gashi, who since 2018 has set up and led the company “DG Pack”, which produces paper tubes or straws of paper, as it is called, of different profiles over 35 types, with a thickness from 2 millimeters to 15 millimeters, but according to the request they can go even more than that. Meanwhile, with dimensions up to FI 500, or half a meter.

It is a successful company with about 20 employees, which is certified in terms of quality standard, but also CE standard.

Therefore, apart from breaking into the internal market of Kosovo, it is also managing to export to countries such as Albania and Germany.

They get the raw material, namely paper and glue from Italy, Greece and Turkey and also from the grants they have benefited from, they have modernized the technology and increased the production.

Today I double congratulate Mrs. Doruntina for March 8 – International Women’s Day and for the great success of her company.
