With the main goal of investing in our most valuable resource, the youth, last month on November 21, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) image campaign was launched. Now a month later, the campaign continues.
As part of the campaign for the promotion of dual education, today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci, visited two enterprises to see closely the work that is being carried out and the skills that are being acquired especially in the tourism and hotel sector.
The students that the prime minister visited and who are part of the dual education program, were students of the 11th grade, who have been following dual education for about two years. Dual education is being implemented by 920 students in 12 profiles, 14 municipalities and 21 vocational schools. During upper secondary school, students spend slightly more than half of their time in enterprises and real workplaces.
The Prime Minister called on enterprises, students and parents to be involved in the implementation of dual education, as a promising modality for connecting professional education with the needs of the labor market.
The implementation of AAP is to provide the opportunity for every young man and woman to attend vocational education and trade learning, it is a key promise of the Government, for a qualified workforce for our industries, which consequently serves economic growth and social in Kosovo.
During the visit, the deputy ambassador of Germany, Matthias Conrad, was also present.
