Prime Minister Kurti received the new ambassador of Hungary, Béla Bozsik, at the meeting

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received in a meeting the new ambassador of Hungary in Kosovo, Béla Bozsik, who until now has served in the capacity of deputy ambassador.

He thanked Mr. Bozsik for his work, commitment and contribution to strengthening relations between Kosovo and Hungary since 2016, and congratulated him on his new assignment as ambassador.

Ambassador Bozsik expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between our two countries and Hungary’s continued support to Kosovo.

The deepening of relations between our two countries is a mutual commitment and goal. Kosovo and Hungary cooperate in many initiatives and projects of common interest.

The Prime Minister thanked Hungary for the support in the field of education, especially 75 scholarships per year for students from Kosovo, but also the support in the field of security and defense.

The region’s path forward towards EU integration and prosperity remains important, highlighting the contribution that Hungary can make next year during its Presidency of the Council of the EU. On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti said that next year Kosovo needs support for the status of a candidate country for the EU, for the Partnership for Peace towards membership in NATO, and for membership in the Council of Europe.
