The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a meeting in his office with the human rights activist and Dutch journalist, Jan Jansen, with whom they talked about his activity and his invaluable contribution to the Albanian people since the 90s.
Even today, he is professionally engaged in documenting and advocating against human rights violations and injustices. Recently, he also spoke about the ethnic cleansing that Serbia has carried out against Albanians.
In the meeting where the writer Ag Apolloni was also present, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his high gratitude for the activism, commitment and contribution of Mr. Jansen for all these years, and which continues today, in the service of truth, right and justice.
Jan Jansen, is a Dutch human rights activist, researcher, journalist and translator, who worked for 25 years as an Amnesty International expert (1979-2004). Since 1990, he has been researching and writing from the field about the situation in Kosovo and Albania. Many international reports on the then political situation in Kosovo stemmed from his research. He wrote about deportations, torture, murders and massacres in Kosovo, denying Serbian propaganda at the time.
