The Prime Minister in office of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Third Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Rexhepi and members of the Parliament, paid homage today on the 25th anniversary of the assassination of Ekrem Rexha, known as Commander Drini, in Landovicë, Municipality of Prizren.
Prime Minister Kurti said that Ekrem Rexha, Commander Drini, was an intellectual activist, an indomitable warrior, who with a rifle in his hand and a strategy in his mind faced the enemy and the Serbian occupier, and today we mark the 25th anniversary of his assassination.
After paying homage at his grave, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his deep gratitude to the family of Commander Drini, who gave such a valuable son to the Albanian nation.
“Glory to Commander Drini and all the fallen and martyrs of the nation!” said Prime Minister Kurti.
After paying homage at the grave of Commander Drini, Prime Minister Kurti will also pay homage at the memorial in the Bazhdarhane neighborhood.
