The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the SPEEEX headquarters and the launch of the innovative digital platform EEEXPLORE Kosova.
Expressing his heartiest congratulations to the management and staff of SPEEEX for the outstanding results they have achieved, the Prime Minister said the company’s journey is a testament to the power of dedication and hard work.
This case not only marks an important step for SPEEEX, but is a clear indicator of the impact of emigration, in particular the power and economic impact of our emigration in Switzerland and from Switzerland here in Kosovo.
“Kosovo is lucky to have such an emigrant, at the same time it is lucky that a friendly country like Switzerland has created spaces and opportunities for the integration of our people there”, said the prime minister.
He added that this event symbolizes the tangible results of perseverance, visions and opportunities right here in our country. This event reminds us that our country, although small in space, is a place of extraordinary achievements and opportunities. The opportunities in Kosovo, combined with the experiences of Switzerland, make something like this possible.
On this occasion, he said that he is proud that through the strengthening of the rule of law, which increases the predictability of doing business and enables investment and reinvestment, we as a government can contribute to a more stable environment for our businesses and citizens.
In closing, he expressed his sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to this extraordinary project, saying that their hard work and dedication have not only taken SPEEEX to new heights, but have also raised our country’s profile on the global stage.

It was a special pleasure when we climbed the floors of this building and Fikret told me two things: first that Switzerland is the solution and we have known this all from the beginning, but I don’t know what he did in the meantime. That is the question.
And secondly, there are 890 work seats in this building. We live in the 21st century, where we work sitting and rest on our feet, so I hope that in this extraordinary evening we will also have extraordinary rest and entertainment.

This case not only marks an important step for SPEEEX, but is a clear indicator of the influence of the diaspora, our compatriots, in particular for its power and economic influence from Switzerland and here in Kosovo. Kosovo is lucky to have such an emigrant, at the same time it is lucky that a friendly country like Switzerland has created spaces and opportunities for the integration of our people there.
Therefore, we understand this event tonight as more than just a celebration of a new building. This event symbolizes the tangible results of perseverance, of vision of opportunity right here in our country. This event reminds us that our country Kosovo, although with a small territory, is a place for extraordinary achievements and opportunities. The opportunities in Kosovo, combined with the experiences of Switzerland, make something like this possible.

As we stand here together, let’s reflect on the advantages of Business Process Outsourcing, a sector in which SPEEEX is excelling. The BPO sector brings us significant economic benefits, including the creation of quality jobs and the development of professional skills, which are vital for a developing country like ours. BPO acts as a catalyst for technological progress, positioning Kosovo not only as a participant, but also as a potential leader in the global digital economy. Additionally, BPO fosters international partnerships, enhancing our global presence and reputation.
We have made an important contribution today as the Government. We have awarded 1,882 scholarships to female students in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. So, for this academic year, 1,000 euro scholarships for 1,882 girls, in which case we are very proud that in our faculties and universities, in computer science, in programming, in the technology and information sector in general and communication, 50% of students are girls and women. The European Union average is 17%. In Kosovo it is 50%. Maybe being outside the European Union we are competing with Switzerland.
The collaboration between SPEEEX and companies such as the Swiss telecommunications giant Sunrise is a good example. Sunrise, recognized as one of the 5G pioneers in Europe, brings a wealth of expertise and innovation. Their presence in our city is not just a business venture; is a bridge that connects Kosovo with the vanguard of global technological progress.
As I entered this building, I couldn’t help but notice three girl astronauts on the ground floor announcing this program of Vedat Bajrami, who was not only dressed but also flying like an astronaut. It is more than just an image. It is a symbol of our aspirations. Finally, a banner in this city that we like, but everyone.
And to stay on this topic, of being exceptional, let me emphasize that during the last years, the Republic of Kosovo has witnessed a great transformation. In 2019, the turnover of our economy was estimated at around 12.56 billion euros, while just three years later, we recorded an amazing figure of 18.15 billion euros. This growth is unprecedented and reflects the work of successful companies in our country.
At the same time, we are motivated and proud that through the strengthening of the rule of law, which increases the predictability of doing business and enables investment and reinvestment, we as a government can contribute to a more stable environment for both businessmen and our citizens.
In closing, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to this incredible project. Your hard work and dedication have not only taken SPEEEX to new heights, but have also raised the profile of our country on the global stage.
I wish SPEEEX and all its partners continued success, achievements, new victories and good work. Let’s move forward with the same spirit of passion and cooperation, creating a brighter future for Kosovo and especially for its wonderful youth.
