Struga, June 16, 2023

In Struga, North Macedonia, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, as they both attend the Prespa Forum.

They talked about the excellent bilateral relations and the potential areas for their deepening. Prime Minister Kurti thanked President Milanović for the continuous support Croatia has given to the state of Kosovo, as a major contributor to peace and regional security, and for strong support in the international arena.

They also talked about the developments in the country, the situation after the April 23 elections and the aggressive action of Serbia just a few days ago towards Kosovo. Prime Minister Kurti said that Serbia has violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, when it abducted three Kosovo police officers from within Kosovo’s territory. If Serbia behaves in such a way, and even more so at a time when the de-escalation of the situation in the north of the country is a shared goal, it must be condemned by the international community and everyone must call for the immediate and unconditional release of the three policemen who are unlawfully held in Serbia.
