Prime Minister Kurti met with the Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor and Housing of Baden-Württemberg, Hoffmeister-Kraut

After participating in the opening of the “Global Connect 2022” Economic Forum, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Ambassador of Kosovo to Germany, Faruk Ajeti, met the Minister for Economy, Labor and Housing Affairs of the state of Baden-Württemberg, Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister- Kraut.

In a very positive meeting, Prime Minister Kurti spoke about the good relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as about new opportunities for cooperation, with an emphasis on those in the field of economy and commercial exchanges. In 2021, Kosovo’s exports to Baden-Württemberg have increased by 1/3 compared to the previous year, which speaks of increased trade cooperation. He said that with the recent positive developments in the country, the Republic of Kosovo presents good opportunities for German companies and the ITP Innovation and Training Park in Prizren is a suitable space for this purpose.

Minister Hoffmeister-Kraut welcomed Prime Minister Kurti and thanked him for the visit. She said that she feels happy that Kosovo has an impressive stand at the “Global Connect 2022” forum. As for the relations between Kosovo and Germany, Minister Hoffmeister-Kraut said that they are strong and that she is convinced that they can be deepened even further. She said that Germany has welcomed Kosovo’s alignment with its European partners in imposing sanctions on Russia. Congratulating Prime Minister Kurti for the reforms undertaken and for the positive economic indicators, Minister Hoffmeister-Kraut gave her full support and the country she represents for the work of the Government. She added that she plans to visit Kosovo in the near future in order to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation.
