During his stay in Slovenia, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia, also the Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of Slovenia, Luka Mesec.
They discussed the bilateral relations between Kosovo and Slovenia, the possibilities for further deepening cooperation and the role of our diaspora in strengthening the bridges between the two peoples and countries. They also discussed the geopolitical situation in the world with an emphasis on the possible impacts on the Western Balkans region.
Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude for Slovenia’s continued support for Kosovo, both at the European and international level and in the field of security, where Slovenian troops in Kosovo serve within the framework of the NATO mission, KFOR.
On Wednesday, during the visit of Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister Mesec to Kosovo, where he was welcomed by the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, the social security agreement with Slovenia was initiated. This agreement will ease the burden of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo living in Slovenia, and vice versa, by enabling them to realize their right to a pension in the country where they live.
