The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, met today with the chairman of the Islamic Community for Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegja, Nexhmedin Ademi.
During their conversation, the increase of cooperation between the Albanian community of the Islamic faith in Presheva and our institutions was discussed, affecting the religious, cultural and educational aspects.
It was discussed about the challenges faced by the Albanians in the Presheva Valley and the importance of preserving national and religious identity, and promoting inter-religious and inter-ethnic harmony in the region. Prime Minister Kurti expressed his support for the Albanians of the Presheva Valley, who are constantly faced with the oppressive and discriminatory policies of the official Belgrade regime.
Furthermore, he stated that our government is the first which has invested and carried out restorations of mosques in the country and showed its attention to all religious communities. The Prime Minister also underlined the cooperation and fruitful work of this community, with the aim of protecting human rights, free exercise of religion and advocacy for national issues.
