Prime Minister Kurti met representatives from the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo – YIHR

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu and the legal advisor, Tea Blakaj, met today with representatives from the Youth Initiative for Human Rights in Kosovo – YIHR, to discuss the report of civil society for human rights 2023.

The Prime Minister said that our government strongly believes in democracy and human rights, as a basis for universality and equality.

In this conversation, the presented progress was evaluated and some of the views about certain points of the report were expressed.

The government considers that the credibility of the report increases when the result is deduced from multilateral perspectives and inclusiveness.

From the representatives of YIHR, the report was offered for comments, while Prime Minister Kurti appreciated the professional approach of the civil society representatives and the more fruitful discussion on many topics.

At the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized how the Government will prioritize the promotion, respect and guarantee of human rights and the rights of minorities in our decisions and work for every day and in every decision, because we are committed that human rights to advance in our country and their respect to be exercised completely.
