Prime Minister Kurti met with students from the diaspora in Germany

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, traveled from the capital of Norway to the city of Frankfurt this weekend, while this morning he met and talked with students from our diaspora in Germany.

Together with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla Schwarz, Prime Minister Kurti discussed with the participants the progress and development of the country and the policies undertaken by our government for young people and students.

He discussed government programs aimed at employing young people and encouraging their inclusion in the labor market, such as the Government Internship program or the SuperPuna platform. In relation to the initiatives undertaken, which have had the engagement of the diaspora at the center, he mentioned the opening of the School for Diaspora Diplomacy and the Program for Citizen Diplomacy, as extraordinary initiatives that bring professionals, students, young men and women closer to the country.
In this conversation with the students, the prime minister also spoke about the connection between the education system and the country’s economy, the implementation of free public higher education, while special attention was also dedicated to financial support for students.
The Prime Minister emphasized that providing opportunities for young people and creating suitable conditions for them in the academic sphere and in the labor market is vital for the present and future of the country.

They talked about the country’s economic growth, which goes hand in hand with the improvement of the business environment and the promotion of investments in the country. The focus on the energy field and the transition to green energy, through energy efficiency programs, was also emphasized, as well as the successful organization of the first solar auction of 100MW. Strengthening relations with Albania was also a topic discussed, for the union of energy markets, synergy in education, cooperation in the organization of the 2030 Mediterranean Games and the co-organization of the European Championship of the U16 age group in volleyball for next year.

This meeting was also a good opportunity to get to know young people from the diaspora and learn more about their experiences.
The Prime Minister thanked them for the open and honest conversation, wishing them success during their studies and reminded them of the importance of contributing to the country.
