The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, continues to stay in the United Kingdom. Today he had a meeting with the First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O’Neill and the Deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly.
The conversation focused on issues and topics related to integration, reconciliation and peace building. Willingness and readiness for cooperation and sharing of experiences in areas of common interest, including education and technology, were emphasized.
On this occasion, it was also discussed about access to the joint education system in Northern Ireland, where students from different communities come together and attend classes for certain hours during the week.
The Prime Minister spoke about the potential and success of Kosovo in the technology sector, for economic and democratic development in the country. He congratulated Ms. O’Neill and Mrs. Little-Pengelly on the formation of the government. They also talked about the latest developments in Kosovo and Northern Ireland.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Liza Gashi, and the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Kingdom, Ilir Kapiti.
