The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, hosted the Special Representative of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, together with the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rohde.
The central topic of the conversation was the security situation in the Republic of Kosovo. After the terrorist attack of September 24, organized and supported by official Belgrade, by which Police Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed in the line of duty, Serbia’s destabilizing actions continued along the border line with the Republic of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the evidence gathered during the investigations carried out after the criminal and terrorist attack prove the direct involvement of the state institutions of Serbia in this act of aggression against the Republic of Kosovo, for which Serbia should be sanctioned and punished internationally.
After the failure of the armed attack with the paramilitary formations led by Milan Radoicic, the March and deployment of Serbian military troops along the border with Kosovo was the next step of the institutions of Serbia to threaten the territorial integrity of our country and support a possible aggression military against the Republic of Kosovo.
On the other hand, the Kosovo Police, through the exercise of its constitutional and legal powers, remains engaged and committed to guaranteeing security for all citizens in the municipalities in the north of the country and cooperation with our international partners and allies.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked the emissary Sarrazi for this next visit and his continuous and intense commitment.
