The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today laid the foundation stone of the “Ilir Konushevci” school, in the village of Llugë in Podujeva.
He reiterated that by creating better infrastructural conditions for the development of the learning process, we create preconditions for raising the quality of education.
Prime Minister Kurti said that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is planning significant investments, especially in infrastructure, in the field of early childhood education and information and communication technology. For the next three years, the Government has provided 18 million euros for initial investments in information and communication technology in the relevant infrastructure in schools. Also, by the end of this year, 17 preschool facilities are expected to be finalized where about 1,800 children will be schooled and educated.
During today, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci and the Mayor of the Municipality of Podujeva, Shpejtim Bulliqi, Prime Minister Kurti today also inaugurated the new school facility and the physical education hall for the primary and lower secondary school “Luigj Gurakuqi” in Batllavë.
