The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, today received the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Albania, Ulsi Manja.
The focus of the meeting was the discussion on the vetting process in the justice system. Our goals and Albania’s experience constitute an important framework for cooperation. During the meeting, practical examples and concrete challenges in improving the justice system in both countries were discussed. Prime Minister Kurti said that vetting in Kosovo can benefit a lot from Albania’s experience and lessons.
Expressing his gratitude for the hospitality, Minister Manja said that Albania will offer the best expertise in those areas where Albania has been successful, but at the same time he expressed his interest in learning from Kosovo’s experiences in areas where this the latter has made more progress.
Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Manja agreed that justice and the rule of law are safe foundations that guarantee the well-being of citizens.
The Ministries of Justice of both countries now, in addition to the technical groups that function in the service of the implementation of bilateral agreements in the field of justice, from now on will also have a person at the level of the political cabinets, responsible for covering all communications between the two ministries
