The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti today received in a friendly visit the leaders of the VLEN coalition of Albanian parties in North Macedonia, Bekim Qoku, Bilall Kasami, Arben Taravari, Izet Mexhiti and Afrim Gashi, whom he congratulated on the election result. It is the first time that the Albanian opposition manages to touch and exceed 100,000 votes.
The representatives of VLEN discussed with Prime Minister Kurti the important issues for the Albanians in North Macedonia, but also the interstate relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of North Macedonia and other important issues. Russian and Serbian influence continues to be a concern for the parties, which also occurs through corrupt and criminal networks. The development of the infrastructure that connects the populations of our countries was one of the main topics of discussion, together with ideas and projects for the revival of economic, cultural and educational cooperation.
The meeting took place in a spirit of cordial cooperation, bearing in mind that Albanians in the Balkans are an indisputable factor in support of democratization, European integration, peace, security and Euro-Atlantic stability.
