The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted Professor Martin L. Camp, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas, who is staying in our country to establish cooperation with higher education institutions.
Prof. Camp, who lectures in the fields of international business law and legal ethics, spoke about the role of the lawyer in economic development and social justice in a democratic country. He expressed his happiness for the memorandum of cooperation he signed this week with the University of Prishtina and for the opportunity to connect with other institutions in Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti praised the importance of education and qualified lawyers for economic development, good governance and proper representation of the state. In particular, emphasis was placed on the importance of the lawyer’s ethics and their contribution to the rule of law.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti was accompanied by Getoar Mjeku, the Deputy Minister of Economy who received a Juris Doctor degree from SMU, and the Prime Minister’s legal advisor, Tea Blakaj.
