Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Gërvalla met the Ambassadors and diplomats accredited in Kosovo

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla Schwarz, received today in a joint meeting the ambassadors and accredited diplomats of the diplomatic missions in the Republic of Kosovo.

The central theme of this meeting was the 24th September terrorist attack on the Kosovo Police in the village of Banjské in Zveçan, which killed the Police sergeant, now the Hero of Kosovo, Afrim Bunjaku, in the line of duty.

In their address to the international diplomats, Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Gërvalla informed the international diplomats about the latest developments regarding the security situation in the country, presented the official positions of the Republic of Kosovo towards this terrorist attack and at the same time requested that the international community strongly condemn the destabilizing actions of the state institutions of Serbia in the Republic of Kosovo.

During the same meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Gërvalla emphasized that the Government and the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo have once again demonstrated professionalism and prudence, showing that they are at the service of all citizens without distinction and in parallel with this, their commitment to guarantee territorial integrity, security, legality and constitutionality.

At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Deputy Prime Minister Gërvalla reiterated the position that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are committed to closely cooperating and coordinating actions between the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and partner, allied and friendly countries, to ensure peace and security in the country and region.
