On the eve of the 15th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj.
The meeting began with Prime Minister Kurti’s thanks for the visit and for President Begaj’s participation in the official Independence anniversary celebration. Congratulating Prime Minister Kurti and the people of Kosovo on the 15th anniversary of the declaration of independence, President Begaj said that the Republic of Albania is happy with Kosovo’s successes and stands by its goals.
They talked about the close relations between the two countries, close cooperation, but also about the necessity of time for as much coordination and coordination as possible.
15 years after Kosovo’s independence, Kosovo and Albania have a total of 171 agreements, protocols and memoranda in areas such as security, trade, education and culture. Only in the last two meetings of the two governments, 41 agreements have been signed, the implementation of which has had a direct impact on the lives of citizens, businesses and beyond, and has resolved issues that have persisted over the years.
In this context, Prime Minister Kurti and President Begaj discussed the importance and maximum applicability of the signed agreements, which benefit the citizens first and foremost.
Political developments in both countries but also in the region, as well as the relations between Kosovo and Serbia in the framework of the dialogue mediated by the European Union, were also discussed.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked President Begaj for his interest, commitment and continuous support for the Republic of Kosovo and its institutions.
