The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, today inaugurated the new Medically Assisted Fertility service at the Gynecology Clinic.
Prime Minister Kurti stated that the inauguration of this service, i.e. the opportunity for assisted fertilization, will make many couples happy in Kosovo. He saw up close the modern equipment, which costs around two million euro.
“Half of it is from the Ministry of Health, half is from the HCUSK, in which case the embryology laboratory equipment alone is over one million euro, and in addition to this, there were two new ultrasounds, as well as a device that was a combined version of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy,” the prime minister further announced.
From the Gynecology Clinic, Prime Minister Kurti called on all couples who wish to become parents, because after this joint investment they now have a public, modern and quality address.
The Medically Assisted Fertilization service will be free for the first two times, while after the first two times it will cost 670 euro, significantly cheaper than the service in the private sector which costs around 3 thousand euro.
