Prime Minister Kurti welcomed the Parliamentary Secretary of State at the Federal Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Germany, Siemtje Möller

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today received in a meeting the Parliamentary Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Germany, Siemtje Möller, who was also accompanied by the German ambassador to Kosovo, Jörn Rhode, as part of the accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti expressed his gratitude and of the state of Kosovo for the continuous support of Germany, especially in the defense sector, emphasizing the role and importance that the Bundeswehr has played for the security of the country through the KFOR mission in Kosovo and the establishment of the capacities of the Kosovo Security Force. The German KFOR contingent in Kosovo is the largest military contingent in the world that Germany has stationed in.

He informed her about the attention that has been given to defense during the government so far, the budget that has been allocated to the Ministry of Defense, which this year was over 200 million euros or more than 2% of the Gross Domestic Product, and the increase in investments in the Kosovo Security Force. Nevertheless, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized the importance of cooperation with Germany and the continuous support of KFOR in order to guarantee security and peace in the country and the region.

During the meeting, the relations between Kosovo and Serbia, the process mediated by the European Union and the Brussels agreement and the Ohrid annex were discussed.
