The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held a regular meeting today during which it:

• Approved the decision to establish the Museum of Genocide and Struggle for Freedom.

• Approved the Draft Law on the Central Health Inspectorate. This area relates to improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and reorganizing the healthcare sector. This initiative will strengthen inspection capacities and increase effectiveness in enforcing healthcare legislation.

• Approved the Draft Law on the Production, Cultivation, Collection, Processing, Trade, and Control of Tobacco, Tobacco Products, and Related Products. This draft law aligns with the National Program for European Integration, which also foresees this legislative measure.

• Approved the Regulation on the Duties, Composition, Functioning, and Compensation of Commissions within the Anti-Doping Agency. As part of the legal reforms in sports implemented during this mandate, we have also drafted and adopted the Kosovo Anti-Doping Law. This law creates a safe and healthy environment for the development of sports activities. Through this law, the State Anti-Doping Agency is established, and in the process of fully operationalizing this Agency, the regulation was approved.

• Appointed Vedat Maxhuni as the General Secretary of the Ministry for Communities and Returns.

• Appointed Luan Sylaj as the Executive Director of the Agency for Agricultural Development within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.

• Established a Task Force for the Protection and Legal Utilization of Forests.

• Approved the request of the Kosovo Judicial Council for the transfer of budgetary funds in the amount of 450,000 EUR, up to 25% of the negatively impacted total allocation in the category of expenditures for capital investments under the Secretariat of the Kosovo Judicial Council sub-program, to cover obligations.

• Approved the decision for further review of the expropriation for public interest of immovable former-socially owned properties, managed and administered by the Privatization Agency of Kosovo (KPA), necessary for the implementation of projects by the Municipality of Hani i Elezit, as follows:

o Reconstruction of the football field;
o Regulation of ownership for the water factory;
o Construction of the culture and youth center; and
o Expansion of the road near the customs terminal.

• Approved the decision for further review of the expropriation request for the implementation of the project: Village Cemetery and Sports Field in Dobercan, Municipality of Gjilan.

• Approved the decision for further review of the expropriation request for the implementation of the project: Children’s Daycare Center, green space, and road infrastructure in the Municipality of Gjilan.

• Initiated procedures for the construction of the Hospital building in Ferizaj with a total value of 27.9 million EURO

• Approved the request of the Ministry of Finance, Labor, and Transfers for savings and reallocations.

• Approved the Concept Document for Developing the Regulatory Framework of Financial Markets in the Republic of Kosovo. This paves the way for establishing the foundations of financial markets in Kosovo, including corporate bonds and a capital stock exchange, which will expand access to finance opportunities for our enterprises.

• Approved in principle the initiative to negotiate the Grant Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, and KfW, Frankfurt Am Main, and Pastrimi Sh. A, for the project “Climate-Friendly Urban Development II.”

• Approved in principle the initiative to enter into the Credit Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, and KfW, Frankfurt Am Main, and Pastrimi Sh. A, for the project “Climate-Friendly Urban Development II.”

• Allocated 350,000 euros for organizing Kosovo’s participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, with Kosova House.
