The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, along with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia and the Mayor of the Municipality of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, laid the foundation stone for the Main Family Medicine Center.
With a value of nearly three million Euro, this project, signed on 15 November this year, is being implemented as a result of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health and the Municipality of Drenas and is expected to be completed and become operational by September 2025.
The Main Family Medicine Center, spanning an area of 4,235 square meters, will provide dignified conditions for medical staff and quality facilities for the treatment of all patients. The center will provide services in radiology, emergency care, gynecology a family medicine, as well as technical services. It will include a basement, ground floor and first floor, along with spaces for administration.
Prime Minister Kurti congratulated the citizens of Drenas on the commencement of this project, emphasizing that his primary goal and that of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is to ensure that medical services and care are both of high quality and easily accessible to citizens.

Today is a good and joyful day for the citizens of Drenas. We are here together with the Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, the Minister of Health and other colleagues from the Government, Assembly and Municipality.
Our goal is for medical services and care to be of the highest quality and as close as possible to the citizens. On 15 November of this year, a contract was signed, valued at nearly 3 million Euro, which is set to complete the construction works according to the plan by September of next year.
The center will cover a total area of 4,235 square meters. It will include a basement, ground floor and first floor, offering radiology, emergency, gynecology, family medicine and technical services. There will also be dedicated spaces for administration. This project will provide dignified conditions for medical staff and quality care for all patients.
