The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed the Chairman of the Albanian National Council in Serbia, Nevzad Lutfiu, to the meeting.
During this meeting, they spoke about the concerns and needs of Albanians in Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc, the systematic discrimination against them by the central and local institutions of Serbia, especially in the field of education and regarding the passivation of addresses.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that the support of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for the Valley and all Albanians there continues unwavering. The financial support in next year’s budget is increasing further for the Presheva Valley, where 3 million euros will already be allocated. Funds for financial support in the last two years have been used to preserve the culture and identity of Albanians in the Presheva Valley.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi was accompanied by the Political Advisor for Presheva, Medvegja and Bujanoc, Ragmi Mustafi, while Mayor Lutfiu was accompanied by his Vice President, Enkel Rexhepi.
