The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, welcomed Canada’s non-resident ambassador to Kosovo, Jessica Blitt, to the meeting.
He thanked the ambassador for Canada’s unwavering support for Kosovo, highlighting the support for Kosovo’s membership processes in international organizations.
The parties talked about bilateral relations and the potential for expanding and deepening them even further. The cooperation between the parliaments and deputies of the two countries, the establishment of agreements or memorandums of understanding to strengthen interaction in areas of common interest and the strengthening of ties in the economic spheres were emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister also informed the ambassador about the current developments in the country and the dialogue process. Expressing gratitude for Canada’s contribution and support to Kosovo, the deputy prime minister thanked the ambassador for today’s conversation and exchange.
