Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi received Sweden’s ambassador to Kosovo, Karin Hernmarck, in a farewell meeting

The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, received the ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo, Karin Hernmarck, in a farewell meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Ambassador Hernmarck for the cooperation, the continuous support of Sweden for the Republic of Kosovo throughout the years, and especially for her active role in protecting the environment and green policies.

Also, he said that Kosovo welcomes opportunities for increased investment for investors and large Swedish companies, which can contribute, among others, to the development of business incubators, energy, waste management.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi highlighted Kosovo’s successes in the rule of law, democratization, the fight against organized crime, corruption and migration. He also emphasized the need for the liberalization of visas for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
Kosovo considers the state of Sweden a model of democracy and freedom. Sweden is among the four largest donors in Kosovo, which has helped public institutions and civil society organizations with over 10 million euros per year in projects for economic and democratic development, human rights and environmental protection, which have helped transform our society.

In the end, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed gratitude for the fruitful work of the Ambassador and her team, assessing the important impact in deepening the relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the State of Sweden.
