The complete speech of Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi:
Dear Vice Chancellor, Mrs. Llullaku,
Dear Mr. Queiros from UNDP,
Dear Mr. Kadriu from the association of the Kosovo Disability Forum, dear Leonard, dear Halil,
Dear vice-deans, professors, students, dear attendees.
Today, I have a special honor to celebrate with you the inauguration of the Support Center for students with special needs within the University of Prishtina. This event, for me, marks an important step towards an inclusive education and inclusion for all students in our educational system.
Together with our partners, we are committed to making this project part of our efforts to meet the educational needs and demands of all students, also increasing the spaces of equality in our academic facilities and at the same time providing quality services and necessary.
The last time we gathered at the beginning of the initiative, I mentioned once again that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is determined to create a suitable and supportive environment for students with special needs. Therefore, this center, in my opinion, is an important resource for the improvement of educational services and for a better preparation of students for a successful future wherever they decide to engage.
Now that we are trying to build a better and more inclusive society in Kosovo, it is very important that schools provide equal opportunities for each of us. Each student must have the necessary support, in order to develop their potential and to contribute to the future of our country.
Our ongoing commitment, including sharing technology equipment and increasing the number of assistants for students with special needs, demonstrates our commitment to this challenge. But it is clear to each of us that we still have a lot to do, despite the fact that all the activities and commitments mentioned by Vice-Rector Llullaku are impressive and leave room for hope in the future to have even more such activities.
Cooperation and coordination with our partners is essential in order for these projects to be completed successfully. The inclusion and support of students with special needs is not just a program task for us, but an important and valuable mission.
I thank each of you for your dedication and cooperation.
