The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, today hosted the Head of the Division for the Western Balkans and South-Eastern Europe in the European External Action Service (EEAS), Zuzana Michalcová Šutiaková.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi talked with the official from the European Union about current events and developments in the country and region, as well as about Kosovo’s journey in the European integration process.
During the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister also addressed the progress that the country has seen in the economic field, where we already have about 75,000 more jobs, focused on the employment of women and young people, and where the unemployment rate has decreased from 23.8% as it was before our arrival in government, now only 10.8%.
The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the need to remove the measures which continue to be unfair and remain in force even after the findings of the High Representative of the EU’s Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, in his report recommending their removal.
