In the Bundeshaus, in Bern, yesterday the first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, met with the Swiss MPs, part of the Kosovo-Switzerland Friendship Parliamentary Group, Cedric Wermuth and Roger Golay, as and with the Chairman of the National Council, Eric Nussbaumer, who was previously part of this group.
This meeting and friendly conversation focused on dealing with issues related to the deepening of relations between our two countries, both in economic, social and cultural terms. The positive and important role of our emigrants in their contribution to social life in Switzerland was also emphasized. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also spoke about the progress our country has known, the policies undertaken and our potential for continuous and stable growth.
Further, there was a discussion about Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe, where Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the importance of our country’s membership in this organization for our country but also for European democracy.
Thanking them for their continuous support, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his gratitude and high appreciation for the friendship and partnership between our two countries. Representatives of the Kosovo-Switzerland Friendship Parliamentary Group are expected to visit our country soon.
During his stay in the Bundeshaus, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi also met with the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Helene Budiger Artieda, where the strengthening of economic cooperation and the deepening of relations between Kosovo and Switzerland was particularly emphasized.
