The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, received in a meeting the Deputy Director of the Department for the Balkans in the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Nicolas Faye, who was also accompanied by the Ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olivier Guerot.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Faye congratulated Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi on recent achievements for Kosovo’s European future, such as visa liberalization and passing the first stage for full membership in the Council of Europe.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi expressed his gratitude for France’s support for Kosovo’s European future, this support is important since it comes from a key partner and ally for the country.
The parties also discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations with special emphasis on the development and advancement of development and economic cooperation. Different projects are starting to take shape between our two countries, which will be able to move to the implementation stages in the future. These projects affect fields and sectors such as the transition to green energy, energy efficiency or waste water treatment.
The meeting discussed the dialogue process and the implementation of the Basic Agreement on the normalization of relations and the Implementation Annex. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed and engaged, active and constructive in this process where the main beneficiaries should be all citizens.
