The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted today in a farewell meeting the ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr. Pavel Bilek. The parties confirmed the excellent bilateral relations and the work developed during the mandate of Ambassador Bilek through the deepening of cooperation between our countries as well as the numerous diplomatic visits carried out both in Prague and also in Pristina. Cooperation in key areas was emphasized, especially the renewable energy sector and waste water management.
As a great supporter of the region, the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU during the past year has been among the most successful. The countries of the region advanced on their way to the EU, including Kosovo, which managed to have the political decision and consensus of the member states on visa liberalization, as well as officially accepted in Prague our application for EU membership.
