The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, was received at the meeting by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Jan Knutsson.
In this meeting, the European future of Kosovo and the recent positive achievements for the country were discussed. Liberalization of visas and advancement to the first stage of membership in the Council of Europe are normal and necessary steps within the European Integration processes.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi spoke about the next objectives and goals, where the work and commitment of Kosovo on the road to the European Union will continue.
Beyond the continuation of the advancement to full membership in the Council of Europe, receiving the questionnaire and further the status of the candidate country continue to remain a priority and with special attention.
Likewise, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized that Kosovo is ready for the next steps and is proving this through the successes that the country is achieving and the rapid advancement in fulfilling the European agenda.
