The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, received today the Director of the Department for Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Erik Weststrate, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Kosovo, Carin Lobbezoo.
In the meeting, Kosovo’s determination on the road to the European Union was reiterated. The clear message was expressed that our country sees its future in the EU, in achieving European standards and continuous work in the implementation of reforms of the European agenda.
Kosovo is ready to take further steps towards the European Union and upgrade the relationship with the EU to another level. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi said that our institutions are mature and ready to contribute positively to this process and to move forward in fulfilling the necessary steps on the way to the EU.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi informed Mr. Weststrate and Ambassador Lobbezoo on the dialogue process and the last meeting held in Brussels, last Monday.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their willingness and readiness to continue the cooperation and close relations between our two countries, and to continue their intensification.
