The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, this afternoon participated in the inauguration of the training spaces for the sport of boxing, in the basement of the Grand Hotel, where he was welcomed by the boxer Donjeta Sadiku and her team, these spaces which for some time now have been unused.
This space, which was inaugurated today, has been functionalized and finalized and is now ready for use thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with the AKP and the Boxing Federation.
At the end of this inauguration, Prime Minister Kurti was presented with a boxing glove which was signed by the boxer herself.
Donjeta Sadiku is the only athlete outside the judo team from Kosovo’s athletes who will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, in her second participation. She was earlier decorated with the bronze medal at the World Championships in Istanbul 2022, as well as the bronze medal at the European Championships in Budva in the same year, becoming the first and only female boxer from Kosovo to win medals in international boxing competitions.
