The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has appointed Avni Kastrati, Acting Executive Director of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo.
The process of population, household and housing registration is among the priorities of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. It must be based on reliable data and professionals committed to the success of the initiative.
During the meeting, Mr. Kastrati informed the Prime Minister about the many challenges and problems within the Agency which have slowed down the registration process. New management and a new spirit of commitment to the result is necessary for the implementation and finalization of the population census process.
Mr. Kastrati, now in his new position, will notify Prime Minister Kurti in the following days of the next steps in the registration process, after providing the technical equipment for this process.
