Prishtina, January 10, 2025
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held a regular meeting, in which it:
• Updated the State Strategic List of Dual-Use Goods, for goods that are placed under control for reasons of national security, foreign policy, public safety or human rights;
• Approved the increase in benefits and pensions by updating the table in Annex 1. of the Law on the Status and Rights of the Martyrs, Disabled, Veterans, Members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Civilian Victims and Their Families. With this decision, the increase of 20% of pensions above the current amount for the families of the martyrs, disabled, veterans, members of the KLA, victims of sexual violence and civilian victims is officially approved;
• Appointed Ms. Lyra Osmani to the position of Inspector General within the Office of the Prime Minister;
• Appointed Mr. Avni Kastrati to the position of Executive Director of the Kosovo Agency of Statistics within the Office of the Prime Minister;
• Approved the Report on the Ex – Post Evaluation of Law No. 04/L-184 on Office Work Administration. The evaluation of the Law on Office Work Administration was conducted at the request of the Ministry responsible for public administration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The findings show that the law in question is not fully implemented and that there is a lack of capacities to ensure such a thing. By addressing the findings, the necessary steps will be taken to ensure the quality of the law and its full implementation.
