The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held regular meetings, in which:
– Approved the Draft Law on Foreigners, which regulates the conditions of entry, transit, stay and exit of foreigners in and from the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. It aims to address contemporary migration challenges by providing comprehensive measures, increase border security, and promote the successful integration of foreigners into our community.
– Approved the decision to establish the Central Public Enterprise, “Energy Storage Corporation (ESCorp)”, LLC, owned by the Republic of Kosovo, with one hundred percent (100%) Government shares of the Republic of Kosovo. Pursuant to the Millennium Challenge Compact Agreement and the implementation program, and with the aim of supporting energy security and the transition to a cleaner energy future, the Republic of Kosovo in its energy system intends to install 170MW of storage capacity of energy through batteries. The Compact Program envisages the creation of an entity that will own and manage 125MW of battery energy storage system capacity. This entity is set to be a public enterprise, which is established as a Joint Stock Company, according to the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, and is financed by the Compact Program for the first 5 years of its operation.
– Allocated 76,730.00 euros for the implementation of measure 2.1 – Subsidizing investment loans of the Economic Revival Package.
– Approved the preliminary decision for expropriation for public interest of the immovable property which is affected by the realization of the Project: Conservation and Restoration of the House in the Memorial Complex “Reçak Massacre”, ZK Reçak, Municipality of Shtime.
– Approved the preliminary decision for expropriation in the public interest of the immovable property of the former Social Enterprise “Liria” in Prizren, which is necessary for the realization of the Project: “Creation of spaces for the mobility of traffic and pedestrians”.
– Approved the initiative of the Ministry of Local Government Administration for the negotiation of the International Partnership Agreement for “Management of the technical assistance grant contract number 2023/450-113 within the framework of the cross-border cooperation program Kosovo – North Macedonia under IPA III (2021) -2027). This agreement aims to determine the responsibilities for the implementation of the technical assistance program for cross-border cooperation between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
– Approved the decision on the recommendation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo for the authorization of the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, for signing the Credit Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers and the European Investment Bank for the project “Solar Photovoltaic Energy in KEK – Global Gateway”.
– Approved the decision to approve the request of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo, for the allocation of budget funds in the amount of 25,000.00 euros for the realization of the “Albanian Encyclopedia” project.
– Approved the initiative of the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers for the negotiation of the Grant Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo represented by the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers; The Mitrovica Regional Water Company and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the “Sewage Development in Mitrovica” project.
– Allocated budget funds in the amount of 520,000.00 euros for the additional financing of the project “Renovation of the roof and reconstruction of internal spaces in the facility of the Institute of Forensic Medicine”.
– Approved the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora for the purchase of facilities for the needs of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Kosovo in Paris (France), Rome (Italy), Ottawa (Canada) and Ankara (Turkey). Through this decision, is paved the way for the beginning of the purchase procedures, as provided for in the respective legislation in force.
