The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today visited the “Kosova B” Power Plant of KEK, which is undergoing repairs in preparation for the winter season, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli. The acting Chief Executive of KEK, Bekir Gërguri, was also present.
The stay at KEK focused not only on the close observation of the conditions and the work that takes place there, but also especially the conversation with the KEK workers, regarding their commitment and the challenges they face.
Today, 149 new workers are joining KEK, for which the prime minister underlined the importance of adding new staff and recruiting as many young men and women as possible.
“We love and highly value KEK as a natural source of energy, as a production and development capacity, but at the same time as a workers’ organization that is expanding today,” the prime minister added.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the KEK is vital for the economy of the Republic of Kosovo and the economic growth that our country has had in the last three years, an average of 6.2 percent of the gross domestic product, would not be possible without the energy that comes from this country and by the tireless work of the workers there.
In conclusion, the prime minister wished success and good work to the young workers, and also expressed the Government’s unwavering support for KEK.
