The First Deputy Prime Minister in Office for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, received the Director General of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), Jacob Granit. Also present at the meeting was the Ambassador of Sweden to Kosovo, Jonas Westerlund.

This is the first visit of Director Jacob Granit to Kosovo. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi welcomed him to our country while appreciating the cooperation with our partners and friendly countries, where the state of Sweden also holds a special place.

They discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation from areas such as investment and trade exchange, to technology and digitalization. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi emphasized the progress and development that the country has experienced in the last four years. He said that growth must be sustainable and distributed equally to citizens.

He highlighted the rapid growth of the information technology sector as well as the prospects and potential that Kosovo offers through a good business environment.

Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked Director Jacob Granit for his visit to Kosovo and today’s meeting, expressing gratitude for the close partnership and strong relations between Kosovo and Sweden.
