In commemoration of Pristina Martyrs’ Day, the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with members of the cabinet, elected members of the Assembly of the Republic, assembly members of the Pristina Municipal Assembly and activists, paid homage first at the Martyrs’ Cemetery Complex in Velani, and then at the statue of the hero Zahir Pajaziti, where he laid a wreath of fresh flowers.
On this day, we remember and commemorate the martyrs of the nation, of the capital, who gave their lives for the freedom of the people and for the liberation of the country. We commemorate the 27 fallen and 16 martyrs killed in the village of Marec, and the 115 civilians killed in Makoc, in the largest massacre in the municipality of Pristina.
Glory to all the martyrs of the nation! Glory to the hero Zahir Pajaziti!
After the tributes, Prime Minister Kurti and other members of the cabinet donated blood, as part of the blood donation campaign at “Zahir Pajaziti” Square.
