Prishtina, 26 March 2025
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo held a regular meeting today in which it:
– Established the Organizing Council for the marking of June 12, the Kosovo Liberation Day, with the following composition:
o Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, chair;
o Minister of Defense, member;
o Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, member;
o Minister of Justice, member;
o Minister of Internal Affairs, member;
o Minister of Local Government Administration, member; and
o Representative, Office of the Prime Minister, member.
– Appointed Ridvan Hoti to the position of Deputy Executive Director for the Training of Prisoners in the Correctional Service of Kosovo.
– Appointed Irfan Lipovica to the position of General Director in the General Directorate of Accreditation. With 89.9 points, m. Lipovica is ranked as the candidate with the most points.
– Approved the legal analysis for the simplification, merger or elimination of permits or licenses issued within the framework of the Civil Aviation Authority, the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, the Energy Regulatory Office, the Kosovo Railways Authority, the Electronic and Postal Communications Regulatory Authority, the Water Services Regulatory Authority, the Independent Media Commission and the Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals.
– Partially annulled the final decision No. 06/98 dated April 18, 2019, to provide a final solution to the construction of the necessary and suitable roundabout for citizens according to the new expropriation study for the Districts of the Gjilan Cadastre Directorate.
– Approved the Annual General Report on Inspections.
– Approved the Guidelines for Joint Inspections. Joint inspections play a crucial role in advancing legal supervision and promoting compliance with regulatory standards. The main goal is to rationalize resources while guaranteeing the public interest and good.
– Supplemented and amended the Government Decision No. 11/2025 dated 21.03.2025 on the appointment of the ad hoc commission for professional assessment for admission to senior management positions in the Executive Agencies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. With this amendment, the chairperson of this commission, Afërdita Bekaj, is replaced by Lumnije Demi.
