The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Arbërie Nagavci and the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjilan, Alban Hyseni, laid the foundation stone of the new kindergarten in Gjilan.
The foundation stone of the kindergarten, which is the sixth in the municipality of Gjilan in this mandate of the Government, reaches the cost of around 855 thousand euros. With nearly 900 square meters, this kindergarten has a capacity for 80 children and the construction works of this project are expected to be completed in 12 months.
On this occasion, he said that this is good news for the Municipality of Gjilan, for children and parents, because before the current government, there was a lack of care for children in an institutional and social sense.
“When we took the executive power, we came to govern this country, which we achieved after the great victory of February 2021, we did not find a single kindergarten in Gjilan financed by MESTI. Also, when Alban Hyseni came to executive power in Gjilan, when good governance began in the municipality of Gjilan, after the autumn elections of 2021, there was no care for children here, neither in an institutional nor in a social sense. Therefore, it is a happy day for all the citizens of Gjilan”, he said.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister congratulated the citizens, the deputies present and the activists, on this day marked by the laying of the foundation stone for the sixth kindergarten in the municipality of Gjilan.

We are here together with the Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Ms. Arbërie Nagavci and with the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjilan, our host, Alban Hyseni, to lay the foundation stone of the sixth kindergarten during our mandate in the Municipality of Gjilan.
When we took the executive power, we came to govern this country, which we achieved after the great victory of February 2021, we did not find a single kindergarten in Gjilan financed by MESTI.
